In society today it is a given that most teens practice with some sort of sexual intercourse. At least a promise ring is used to show that you are committed to just one person. I think it shows a lot of guts and should be commended.

I love the cartoon! Very timely and teachable post. During these times, there are definite lessons to be learned and we all can find areas to tighten our budgets.

I have a friend who personally took me to some consignment shops years ago. Found some great pants and skirts for less than $10. Some of my best looking pieces. :)

Perhaps the key to the 4 points mentioned here is actually deliberately making the time to rest, relax, and take time out.

Listening to the world around you - be that stressful noises such as at work, or relaxation music or nature music at the other extreme for example - and reacting positively or appropriately can do wonders for both your mental and physical well-being :-)

This brings to mind the story of Moses and his sister Miriam. Miriam was stricken with what in the original Hebrew is called tzara'at (mistranslated as "leprosy" in English) for speaking slander and gossip about Moses. The story is told in Numbers chapter 12. Leviticus 13 and 14 introduces us to tzara'at if you are looking for more detail.

I wonder what this world would be like if there were such direct consequences for slander and gossip. I am willing to bet there would be a whole lot less of it and we would certainly be able to identify people we should avoid with ease.
